FROM PIONEERS TO LEADERS IN THE INDUSTRY

LIMA has always relied on a dynamic, solid, and organised structure, which has enabled the company to achieve significant commercial development, recognised prestige, and an optimal level of product quality.

LIMA was founded in 1977 as a craft company engaged in the production of industrial gaskets and technical items made from thermoplastic materials. The company was initially established in the town of Cividate al Piano (BG), and after a few years, it moved to Grumello del Monte (BG), in a location more suitable for the company’s production volumes. The choice of the new location was not accidental: Grumello del Monte was the ideal hub for the production and marketing of industrial gaskets, custom components, and thermoplastic products intended for a wide range of industrial sectors. Over time, Grumello del Monte has become the undisputed centre and reference point for the rubber/plastic sector in the provinces of Bergamo, Brescia, and Milan, rewarding the intuition of the President and Founder, Angelo Baldelli.

At the same time, in the early 1980s, the company decided to open a branch in Milan, primarily for the marketing of industrial gaskets and standard parts, both in thermoplastic and elastomeric materials (silicone and polyurethane rubbers).

This allowed the company to quickly respond to the needs of customers in the Milan area and, with the business’s development, to expand its customer base beyond regional and national borders.

Over the years, the company achieved such commercial expansion that in 2010, it was necessary to move again, this time from Grumello del Monte to Bolgare (BG), into a 3,000 square metre facility that perfectly suits the current organisational needs of the company.

Today, LIMA boasts a strong and organized structure, which has allowed the company to achieve significant commercial development, an excellent level of product quality, and recognised prestige in the field of industrial gaskets and beyond. In the early years of its history, LIMA had limited funding, but despite this, the company’s primary goal was always to invest wisely in cutting-edge technologies, infrastructure, and machinery capable of supporting the work process. This, combined with hard work and a continuous drive for improvement, has led LIMA to steadily climb the ranks of its reference market, ultimately reaching the top of its category. LIMA continues to invest in new machinery and qualified technical personnel (engineers, technicians, experts, and specialized operators). It is also at the forefront in the development of new special materials and the search for new applications (in industrial gaskets and technical items) where plastics and rubber can make a difference.
