In addition to traditional piston and rod seals, scrapers, anti-extrusion rings, and common O-rings, LIMA is able to manufacture a wide range of custom-designed special seals made from thermoplastic materials, tailored to the specific needs of the customer.

Thanks to the advanced technologies at our disposal and the many years of experience of our operators, LIMA can provide seals with complex geometries that meet dimensional tolerances down to the hundredth of a millimeter.

Special profile seals are used as auxiliary sealing elements for a wide variety of components: compressors, heat exchangers, flanges, housings, baskets, pipes, fittings, slides, panels, rollers, plugs, nozzles, mechanical parts of machinery, drain systems, spacers, and sensors.

The range of profiles that can be manufactured is considerable. For proper selection, parameters such as temperature, operating pressure, working speeds, material, involved fluids, mating clearances, dimensional constraints, and surface roughness must always be taken into account. When installing the seals, great care should be taken to avoid cuts and permanent deformations that could compromise their functionality.

The choice of the most suitable material depends on the specific challenges of each application. Among the most requested thermoplastic materials are PTFE, polyamides, POM, PE, PEEK, PVC, and PET.
